Discussing Somerset Street, Construction Director, John Barrow, said: “We are working hard as a business to continue growing our new build workstream and to see the team be in a position to mobilise a number of sites, across multiple regions, and to be building hundreds of homes simultaneously is fantastic.
“Somerset Street sees us continue to deliver on our promise to be a dependable contracting partner and as the latest new build site we have mobilised for Torus, it's fantastic to see just how far we have come in terms of our growth, especially considering the landscape we are currently operating in. We’re thrilled to have started on site at Somerset Street and as a team, are looking forward to seeing the scheme come to life.”
Continuing, Torus Developments Director of Development and Technical, Steve Alcock, said: “It’s fantastic to be working with HMS on another new build development and see the team start to deliver on our commitments to continuing investing in St Helens’ affordable housing market.
“Somerset Street is the first site started as part of a wider investment programme in Fingerpost and Parr, and we’re excited to take a lead on regenerating this site to bring forward new homes that will help people onto the property ladder and broaden the communities in the local area.”
