BACKGROUND

HMS successfully redeveloped Wellington Road – a residential apartment block in South Liverpool – to create an energy efficient and modern living space for residents.

Works completed included:

  • Installation of a new roof, windows and external doors
  • High performance external insulation
  • Iridescent cladding added to the exterior to reduce the environmental impacts of the building
  • Secure boundary walls and fencing
  • Installation of fob access to all entrances, private parking and communal bin store
  • Hard and soft landscaping in the rear courtyard

With the redevelopment actively working to improve residents’ quality of life by reducing anti-social behaviour, the cost of fuel and energy bills and noise levels, works completed saw Wellington Road shortlisted as the Best Regeneration Project in the 2017 Housing Excellence Awards with one resident confirming it is now a ‘stunning landmark and much nicer place to live.’
